Removing
the power-supply backplane
To remove the
power-supply backplane:
- Turn off
the HMC and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords.
- Remove the
cover. (Refer to Removing
and Replacing the Cover.)
- Disconnect
the power supplies from the power-supply backplane. (Refer to
Removing and Replacing
the Power Supply.)
Start
the video ...
- Disconnect
the two blue signal cables from the system board, and disconnect
the power cable from the power-supply backplane.
- Slide the
power-supply backplane on the mounting pins to disconnect it from
the system board. (If you are standing at the front of the HMC,
you will be sliding the power-supply backplane to the left.)
Note: It may not slide on the keyhold slots and
disconnect easily from the system board. Continue to gently push
on the backplane to slide it from the system board.
- Lift
the power-supply backplane to remove it from the HMC.
