To remove the simple-swap SATA hard disk drive:

1. Turn off the HMC and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords.
2. Unlock the side cover. The side cover does not need to be removed.
3. Remove the lower bezel. (Refer to Removing and Replacing the Lower Bezel.)

4. Pull the loops of the drive assembly that is to be removed toward each other. Then pull the assembly out of the bay.
5. If you are instructed to return the drive assembly, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials supplied to you for shipping.
