3. Enable or use IBM Lotus Sametime, Instant Messaging Limited Use capabilities beyond the default settings in the Program as provided to You, or as established by policy within IBM Lotus Sametime server, including without limitation: Lotus Sametime Connect client, Web conferencing, access from a mobile device, use of IBM Lotus Sametime Gateway, API functions and toolkits, voice chat, video chat, file transfer geographic location awareness, or plugins integrated with instant messaging capabilities; and

4. Use the following Administration functions:

Extended Access Control Lists
Cascading directories
Directory catalogs
Directory assistance
Central directory (userless Name and Address Book)

- IBM Lotus iNotes for Messaging

You must acquire one PoE for IBM Lotus iNotes for Messaging for each unique individual that accesses the Program. You must additionally acquire a PoE for each server that is referenced below and accessed by such users.

A valid POE to IBM Lotus iNotes for Messaging provides the right to:

1. Access IBM Lotus Domino Messaging Server, or IBM Lotus Domino Enterprise Server via:

a) a standards-based (POP3, IMAP) client and/or Web browser,
b) IBM Lotus iNotes, or
c) IBM Lotus Domino Access for Microsoft Outlook

in order to use applications based on one of the following unmodified templates that are included in or provided with IBM Lotus Domino Messaging Server or IBM Lotus Domino Enterprise Server: Messaging/Calendar & Scheduling, Personal Directory, Personal Journal, Discussion, and Document Libraries;

2. Use IBM Lotus Domino Off-Line Services with any or all of the methods listed above;

3. Use IBM Lotus Sametime, Instant Messaging Limited Use solely and exclusively within the Program environment to support 1) integrated presence awareness and text-based instant messaging capabilities, within a single Community without modification of the default settings in the Program as provided to You, or as established by policy within IBM Lotus Sametime server, and 2) chat logging service provider interface. You may not modify default settings or enable any additional capabilities unless You have acquired a valid POE to IBM Lotus Sametime;

4. All rights granted under IBM Domino Access for Microsoft Outlook for Messaging.

A valid POE to IBM Lotus iNotes for Messaging does not include the right to:

1. Access IBM Lotus Domino Enterprise Server in order to use any application other than those based on one of the templates specified below that are included in or provided with IBM Lotus Domino Enterprise Server: Messaging/Calendar & Scheduling, Personal Directory, Personal Journal, Discussion, and Document Libraries;

2. Access IBM Lotus Domino Utility Server;

3. Use IBM Lotus Notes; or

4. Enable or use IBM Lotus Sametime, Instant Messaging Limited Use capabilities beyond the default settings in the Program as provided to You, or as established by policy within IBM Lotus Sametime server, including without limitation: Lotus Sametime Connect client, IBM Lotus Sametime Web conferencing capabilities, access from a mobile device, use of IBM Lotus Sametime Gateway, voice chat, video chat, file transfer, geographic location awareness, IBM Lotus Sametime toolkits or APIs, or plug-ins and applications built using the IBM Lotus Sametime unique APIs available in the IBM Lotus Sametime toolkits, with the exception of the chat logging service provider interface.

- IBM Lotus iNotes for Messaging Limited Use

All rights granted hereunder for IBM Lotus iNotes for Messaging are included in the Program known as "IBM Lotus iNotes for Messaging Limited Use", except for the right to use IBM Lotus Sametime, Instant Messaging Limited Use within the Program environment. In order to use such functionality, You must have a valid POE for IBM Lotus iNotes for Messaging or IBM Lotus Sametime.

- IBM Lotus iNotes for Collaboration

You must acquire one PoE for IBM Lotus iNotes for Collaboration for each unique individual that accesses the Program. You must additionally acquire a PoE for each server that is referenced below and accessed by such users.

A valid POE to IBM Lotus iNotes for Collaboration provides the right to:

1. Access IBM Lotus Domino Messaging Server, IBM Lotus Domino Enterprise Server, or IBM Lotus Domino Utility Server via:

a) a standards-based (POP3, IMAP) client and/or Web browser,
b) IBM Lotus iNotes, or
c) IBM Lotus Domino Access for Microsoft Outlook

in order to use applications based on any template included in or provided with IBM Lotus Domino Messaging, IBM Lotus Domino Enterprise, or IBM Lotus Domino Utility Server, and/or any custom application that You either developed or acquired from a third party;

2. Use IBM Lotus Domino Off-Line Services with any or all of the methods listed above;

3. Use IBM Lotus Sametime, Instant Messaging Limited Use solely and exclusively within the Program environment to support 1) integrated presence awareness and text-based instant messaging capabilities, within a single Community without modification of the default settings in the Program as provided to You, or as established by policy within IBM Lotus Sametime server, and 2) chat logging service provider interface. You may not modify default settings or enable any additional capabilities unless You have acquired a valid POE to IBM Lotus Sametime; and

4. A POE for IBM Lotus iNotes for Collaboration includes all rights granted hereunder for IBM Lotus iNotes for Messaging.

A valid POE to IBM Lotus iNotes for Collaboration does not include the right to:

1. Use IBM Lotus Notes; or

2. Enable or use IBM Lotus Sametime, Instant Messaging Limited Use capabilities beyond the default settings in the Program as provided to You, or as established by policy within IBM Lotus Sametime server, including without limitation: Lotus Sametime Connect client, IBM Lotus Sametime Web conferencing capabilities, access from a mobile device, use of IBM Lotus Sametime Gateway, voice chat, video chat, file transfer, geographic location awareness, IBM Lotus Sametime toolkits or APIs, or plug-ins and applications built using the IBM Lotus Sametime unique APIs available in the IBM Lotus Sametime toolkits, with the exception of the chat logging service provider interface.

- IBM Lotus iNotes for Collaboration Limited Use

All rights granted hereunder for IBM Lotus iNotes for Collaboration are included in the Program known as "IBM Lotus iNotes for Collaboration Limited Use", except for the right to use IBM Lotus Sametime, Instant Messaging Limited Use within the Program environment. In order to use such functionality, You must have a valid POE for IBM Lotus iNotes for Collaboration or IBM Lotus Sametime.

A valid POE for IBM Lotus iNotes for Collaboration Limited Use includes all rights granted hereunder for IBM Lotus iNotes for Messaging Limited Use license.

The following terms shall apply to all Programs specified above:

No Hosting Services

You may not use the Programs or any component thereof to provide hosting services to individuals, machines or programs outside of Your enterprise unless otherwise agreed to by IBM in writing.

Managed I.T. Services


You may elect to have Your I.T. services managed solely for Your benefit by a third party; however, as the licensee, You remain responsible for compliance with all terms and conditions, including but not limited to the acquisition and maintenance of a sufficient number of licenses as described in this License Information document. You may not assign, transfer, delegate or sublicense any of Your rights or obligations, in whole or in part, to such third party without the express written permission of IBM.

OEM Programs

If You acquired the Program preloaded on a computer as part of Your purchase of the computer ("OEM Program"), then You may not transfer such OEM Program (or any accompanying disks) for value separately from the computer.

Any other documentation with respect to these licensed Programs, including without limitation any such documentation referenced herein and any marketing collateral, is provided for information purposes only and does not extend or modify the terms contained in this License Information.

IBM LanguageWare components:

The Program includes IBM 'LanguageWare' technology and components ("LW Code"), which You are authorized to install and use solely in association with Your licensed use of the Program.

You are not authorized to use such LW Code for any other purpose, or to transfer or remarket any LW Code. Specifically, You are not authorized to use any LW Code feature directly and You may only use LW Code through the documented features, API's and tools provided by the Program.

If You wish to license the LW Code for any use beyond the limits set forth above (including exploiting the entire feature and customization capabilities), please contact an IBM Sales Representative or the party from whom You acquired it to obtain the appropriate full licenses.
