Removing
the rear fan
To remove the
rear fan:
- Turn off
the HMC and peripheral devices and disconnect all power cords.
- Unlock and
remove the side cover. (Refer to Removing
and Replacing the Cover.)
- Remove the
lower bezel. (Refer to Removing
and Replacing the Adapter.)
Start
the video ...
- Disconnect
the fan cable from the system board, making a note of where the
cable was connected for later installation.
- Grasp the
fan with both hands and pull firmly, extending the rubber grommets.
The grommets will be pulled through the holes in either the fan
or the chassis and can then be removed. Pulll the fan up and out
of the chassis.
- If you are
instructed to return the rear fan, follow all packaging instructions,
and use any packaging materials supplied to you for shipping.
